South Windsor Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors Appoints Gladys Ortiz as Interim Executive Director

 South Windsor, CT – May 10, 2024 – The South Windsor Chamber of Commerce is delighted to announce the appointment of Gladys Ortiz as its Interim Executive Director. Ortiz brings a wealth of experience and a track record of success in fostering business growth and community development. Over the past 20 years, she has been a leader in the financial industry and holds numerous certifications in Leadership, Coaching, and Business Development. She is also a Board Member of Friends of the Wood Memorial Library and Museum.

With a strong background in business management and strategic leadership, Ortiz is poised to lead the Chamber during this critical transitional period. Her expertise in building partnerships, driving innovation, and advocating for small businesses will be invaluable assets as the Chamber continues to support and promote the local business community.

Ortiz has been a member of the South Windsor Chamber of Commerce and a Board Member, recently serving as the President-Elect. As part of the transition, Ortiz will be stepping down from the Board of Directors to assume the role of the Interim Executive Director.

As Interim Executive Director, Ortiz will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Chamber, implementing strategic initiatives, and fostering collaboration among community business members and stakeholders. She will work closely with the Chamber’s Board of Directors and staff to advance the organization’s mission and goals.
